TSC wants a cracker!

Hey everyone!  Ok - so are you all experiencing January in November too?  This is crazy!  But considering one of my favourite things to do is sit in my pj's with a blanket on while I colour with my dog at my feet....I now have a great excuse to do just that!!!

This hot mama is Polly wants a Cracker by the Stamping Chef.  There's a new challenge starting today over at the TSC challenge blog.  It's always Anything Goes - so your creativity can roam free!  You could win this smexy lady, or any other image of your choice.  Also, be sure to share your TSC makes over on the facebook page too.  Sometimes Tamara treats us to sneak peeks, and there's a monthly challenge there too!

Happy Birthday Betty!!!! - Blog hop

SURPRISE!!!!  Happy Birthday Betty!
As you know by now, Corinne organized an awesome hop to make sure you know how much we love you!  It'll take you all week to get through this list, but I hope you're feeling the love!!
For anyone else stumbling upon this post, it's Betty's (owner of Simply B Stamps) birthday.  We all used the same image to create a card to mail to her.
Betty loves Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos, so I have a feeling you'll see a familiar theme with a lot of these!  I used some sugar skull paper and stickers, coloured my image with Copics, and added just a few flowers and ribbons.
Up next you're off to see Sian.  Be sure to show her some love!

Hop order:
Leanne, Cynthia Cole, April, Cat, Dena

A quickie card

I know I just posted a card with this Saturated Canary image Close to My Heart a few weeks back, but I had overwhelming response on Facebook.  Thank you!!  A co-worker asked if I'd use it again for a little girl baby card and gave me free reign on colours.  I decided to do something a little different than the traditional girl colours, but think the flowers, gems and butterflies still make it feminine.

Thanks for stopping by!

TSC and the BIG Teese

What is it about Wednesday's that make it drag?  Still two more "get ups" before the weekend, yet the last weekend seems so long ago!  haha

Luckily Wednesday means a new challenge at The Stamping Chef, so that's something to be excited about.  Challenges are always anything goes - so let your creativity be free!  It's a great way to unwind in the middle of the week.  Then maybe NEXT Wednesday you could find you won some awesome TSC images - and that will make that day so much better!

This week I worked with the very sexy The Big Teese.

I wish I had more steampunk elements in my stash to really spice it up.  However this feather is so fun, and perfectly matched her hat!  I cut the frame using my Silhouette portrait, and fussy cut just the top of the image to make her pop out of the frame.
Copics used:
Skin - E000, 00, 21, 11 04 R20
Hair - E49, 47, 44
Outfit - R29, 59, 89 YG91, 95, 97 E89, 87, 44, 81

Thanks for looking and be sure to show us your fantastic creations!  They don't have to use TSC images (but we love when they do!)

JIC and DRS Designs

It's time for another Team A Challenge at Just Inspirational Challenges.  This week our theme is quite broad - so I expect a lot of you to enter!!!

WISHES!

And my sponsor was DRS Designs who is giving away a gift certificate for their shop!
I used their sentiment "Merry and Bright".  Isn't it beautiful?

This little girl is Silver Fairy from Wee Stamps.  I saw her on pinterest coloured as a Christmas fairy and fell in love!
Copics used:
Skin: E04, 11, 21, 00, 000
Hair: E59, 57, 55, 53

And this time I got the Frantage right - woo hoo!!! I had purchased the wrong kind previously, but this is the Reflections brand Shabby Blue.  I added some Platinum stickles to the wings too.

So don't forget, one week to enter your "Wishes" themed card for your chance at some great prizes!

Time for Pretty!

Halloween is behind us and it time for cute and sexy and pretty and girly again!

Nobody is more girly than one of my friends who has a birthday coming up this month.  I purchased the beautiful Betty's Boudoir digis back when they were released....and then kind of "hoarded" them in a way!  haha.  I'm sure we all do it with scrapbook supplies; I do it with digis too.  I save them until I can make something special with them, looking forward to the first time I get to colour them.

Considering how excited I was to make something with her, it did NOT go smoothly.

First, I keep seeing these awesome shabby-chic makes with Frantage.  Well apparently there's more than one kind, and I bought the wrong one.  I heated and heated waiting for these to melt until I scorched the paper.  It smoked so bad I turned it over to make sure it wasn't on fire!
Second, I've been saving this awesome rub-on and gem combo...but when I used it, it barely showed! (both pictured below.  Thankfully the frantage covered most of the burn)

Third, I had the perfect frame picked out for my Silhouette, but the paper I wanted was just too flimsy and all the fine flourishes ripped.  I tried again with a more sturdy paper, but only slightly better results.  In the end I cut out just a portion of the frame to use.

When all was said and done the card took WAY longer than it should have to put together, but I really love it!

Copics used:
Skin - E000, 00, 21, 11, 04
Hair - E47, 37, 34
Undies - RV21, 23, 25, 29
Stockings - C03, 05, 07, 110

If anyone has some tips about Frantage I'd be grateful if you left a comment!  I think  I'll need to do some YouTube research before I try again.  Thanks for stopping by!
