JIC - Dilly Beans and a Sketch

Hello!  This week I'm joining Team B at Just Inspirational Challenges because they're working with Dilly Beans!  I just love their funky images!!!

Another fantastic sponsor for this challenge is Beansie Doodles, so be sure to check out what the rest of the team did with their fantastic images!

Both of our generous sponsors are offering our winners choices of images from their shop.  Woohoo!

The inspiration this week is a really versatile sketch our own Valou came up with.

I used the image Daisy Girl Framed by Dilly Beans along with some Bo-Bunny papers.  Because she was such a focal point I added a couple flowers and the card practically made itself!!

Thanks for looking and can't wait to see all the original creations that come from the same sketch!

JIC and SSD - Bingo!

Good morning!  This week I'm here with a Just Inspirational Challenges Team A Challenge, sponsored by the lovely Sassy Studio Designs.  The winner will have their choice of some super sassy stamps from their shop!
We are also being sponsored by Eureka Stamps; and they're also giving away images!

Two fabulous sponsors is certainly worth playing along!!!

The theme this week at JIC is Bingo.  You can do down, across or diagonal.  And if you want you can of course do more than one line!

Sleeping Beauty is by far my favourite fairy tale, and I'm SUPER excited for the Maleficent movie coming out this spring.  Here I used Dies, Flowers, Bling/Glitter and Twine with SSD's image Sassy Maleficent.

I used my Silhouette for the digital die cut, and then used the negative image over top of my background paper.  SSD images are so easy to work with!  I find once I colour one up the rest of the card falls together easily.
Copics Used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11
Hair: E42, E44, E47, E49
Outfit: V91, V93, V95, V99 and C05, C07, C09, C10 and black

Thanks for looking and can't wait to see what you come up with while playing Bingo!!

I'm a Sassy Studio DT Member!!

I am SOOOO excited I can finally announce I have been invited to be a DT member over at Sassy Studio Designs.  I'm sure all of you are already familiar with these wonderfully cheeky images, but if not, grab a cup of coffee and head on over to the store.  I think most of us have a long weekend this weekend, so the perfect time to colour up some new images!

This week SSD is sponsoring a challenge at Crafty Girls.  The theme is Anything Goes; perfect because I had SOOOO many ideas with all these great stamps and I didn't want to be limited!

In the end I decided on using Sassy Showgirl.  She reminds me of Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and I love Marilyn.

 Copics used
Skin: E000, 00, 21, 11 and 04
Outfit and feathers: C10, 07, 05, 03, 01  RV00, 02, 04, 06, 09
Hair: E51, 53, 55 and 57

I used my black Copic to colour some clear gems for the border.  I also used the Copics to ink some white feathers.  If you're going to do this I suggest using the chisel end of the marker that most of use don't use much.  It did get a bit messy with some saturated feather gunk sticking to the marker.  It came off, but I'd hate for anyone to have a bit left over that ruined a future image.

Please be sure to visit Crafty Girls and enter your Anything Goes card.  And don't forget to check out the creations of the other Sassy Studio design team on our blog!  Have a sassy day!

Guest DT with Aurora Wings image

Hello!
I was very honoured when Anne Lisse asked me to be a guest DT on her blog Barne Mix.  The concept was really neat - we were all given the same image to work with and no other rules.

Here is my card using the image Woman with Stars in her Hair.  I have to say, I had a lot of difficulty with this image!  Trying to get that hair looking like it was flowing was a challenge.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, 00, 21, 11 and 04
Hair: R81, 83, 85 and 89
Stars C07 and black

I also added some black Stickles to to the stars and used my Copic Spica pen on all the dots.  It was hard to catch the sparkle to show in the picture. I didn't want to add too much to the card with such a detailed image so a flourish, ribbon and a few flowers finished it off.

I was happy with  my card..... until I saw what the other women had come up with!!!  There are some truly stunning works of art over on Anne Lise's blog, so please be sure to stop by and drool.
Have a great day!

JIC - Stitchy Bear and Embossing

Hi Everyone!  Time for another Team A challenge at Just Inspirational Challenges.
This week our fabulous sponsor is Stitchy Bear and the lucky winner will receive $10 to shop in their store!

The theme for this week is embossing.  You can heat emboss, emboss with a machine like a Cuttlebug, or any manual embossing tool.

For my make I used the Stitchy Bear image Honey Digi 2.  I coloured her with Copics, heat embossed the sentiment, and used my Cuttlebug to emboss the mat behind the image.

Copics used:
Skin - E000, 00, 21, 11, 04  R20
Hair - E31, 33, 35, 37
Outfit: YR14, 16, 18, 61, 82

Thanks for looking and please play along with us at JIC!
