JIC - Sassy Studio and Monochromatic

Happy Tuesday!  It's Team A's turn again at Just Inspirational Challenges.  I was so excited to work with a Sassy Studio Designs image, they're just the kind of thing I like to colour.  These girls are...well...sexy! Love to colour their hair and fun outfits.  Plus I'm a big fairy tale fan and Sassy Studio Designs has hottied-up some of my favourites.

This week the theme is monochromatic.

I used Graduation Sassy and a black/grey/white as my monochrome colours.  I made a gatefold card, held closed by a velcro button.
Copics used:
Skin - E000, 00, 21, 11, 04  R20
Hair - E31, 33, 35, 37
Clothing: C01, 03, 05, 07, 09 and black

Scrapper's Delights - Crafty Honeys

Hello everyone!  Well, there's a good chance if you're checking out crafting blogs that you're a crafting friend.  If so, you're going to LOVE the new images at Scrapper's Delights!

Meet the Crafty Honeys - available starting today!! (each sold separately).

I'm sure each and every one of you see yourselves in at least one of these cuties.  I certainly related to Crafty Honeys Markers!
I keep all my Copics in a grid container - which is great for storage and organization, but not so great for easy access.  I like to pull the Copics I'm using and put them beside me to keep them handy.  I used this image to create a container to keep beside me while I colour.

I'm sure you have a hundred creative ideas running through your head with what you could use these images for.  Be sure to pop over to Scrapper's Delights challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with.  Happy Crafting!

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Craft my Life - Anything but a card
Fitztown Challenge - Anything goes
My Craft Creations - Anything goes
Without Words - Relax or Hobby

Pick me Paper Shelter!!!

Hi everyone!  And a special hello to the members of the Paper Shelter if you're dropping by.

Six months ago I started this blog with the dream of getting on a DT.  I've been lucky enough to be chosen for two.  Then last week I saw an advertisement for one of my DREAM DT's, the Paper Shelter.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE their stamps and digital papers.  The competition is tough, but I have to give it a try.

I've been working hard on my colouring this past month.  I've taken a few weeks of classes with Kit and Clowder.  Just a few lessons in and I can already see a huge improvement, so I'm very excited to see where I end up by the end of the course!  And Paper Shelter images are some of the most fun to colour.

Here's my official entry for the DT call.  She's The Dragon Whisperer.  I've used her before, but she's so cute I had to make something else with her.  And she fits with the dream theme of being on this DT! I can be reached at craftymeerkat@gmail.com

I got a Silhouette Portrait this weekend, and this was my first make with it.  Love the intricate flourishes it can make!
Copics used:

This weekend I had a bit of a marathon with Paper Shelter images.  Here are two other cards I made...

Paper Shelter Tea Fairy

Hi Everyone
I recently used this adorable image from The Paper Shelter called There's a Fairy in My Tea!  I know so many tea loves so she was on my MUST HAVE list as soon as she came out.  Coincidently, I got a shower invite in the mail and it was 'tea' themed, so I felt like it was a sign to go ahead and purchase her.  haha.
Paper Shelter images are so easy to work with and have such depth and detail, that creating a card afterwards is so easy.  Doesn't take much as these images do all the shining.

It's hard to see in the picture, but I used my Spica pen to add some fairy dust to her wings.

I'm entering in the following challenges:
Emerald Faeries - Pink
Cards Galore Encore - Anything Goes
Crafts and Me - Anything Goes
Just for Fun - Anything Goes
The Craft Garden - Pastel Colours

Scrapper's Delights - Anna Mae

Hi Everyone!  So I have some awesome news - Scrapper's Delights has redone the store and it looks amazing!!!  AND, there's a super cute new release you should pick up when you check it out.

This is Anna Mae School 1 & 2.  Isn't she adorable?  She's so versatile too.  I needed some Easter cards, so I made one (figured her cute bunny sweater tied her in perfectly!).  But this little one is great for any occasion!  I love that she comes in a sitting version too, so you can add her to a scene or cut her out and have her "sit" on a ribbon or other embellishment.  Check out what the other New Release team members came up with here.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, 01, 21, 11, 04  R20
Hair: E50, 53,55,57

JIC - March "Anything with Bling"

Happy Weekend everyone!  Finally March is here, which means a new monthly challenge at Just Inspirational Challenges.  This month we're sponsored by Flourish with a Bling, and the lucky winner will get a gift certificate to the shop!!!

The theme for this month's challenge is Anything Goes - with Bling!

I decided to use one of the newer releases from The Stamping Chef called Fairy Dust.  Isn't she so cheeky?  She was so cute I wanted to let the image "shine" for itself, and kept the card Clean and Simple.

Thanks for taking a look and be sure to play along - you have a month to get your Bling on!!

I'm entering this make in the following challenges:
The Stamping Chef - Anything Goes
Jellypark - Things with Wings
